World Exposition and our Parish School

St. Louis Exposition

Our congregation and parish school was one of 222 congregations submitting over 750 books to the World Exposition held in St. Louis in 1904. Samples of our student's school work, arithmetic, grammar, and spelling, were displayed. After the Exposition, these books were sent to Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois, for safe keeping. "Recently" these were returned to the individual congregations.

The teacher was H.F. Lange and the 6-year ungraded school had 36 pupils.
