2005In January we purchased an AED (automatic external defibrillator).Pastor Lingsch was delayed on his return from Antartica because of winter storms. In February Peg Paisley celebrated her 101st birthday. In June the Elders started holding a meeting once a month that was open to the members of the congregation to share opinions, concerns, and/or suggestions in a confidential manner. In August, Pastor Richard accepted his call to Hosanna Lutheran Church in Columbia Station, OH. Trinity Lutheran Pre-School held an auction to raise funds in October. The auction brought in over 4,500 dollars. Pastor Kornacki resigned as our Associate Pastor in October. Mrs. Margareth "Peg" Paisley was given Christian burial in November. Our church Handbell Choir played at Colony Square mall for their "Holiday Kick Off." Our November Mission Sunday offering went to support the LCMS project, "Partnerships in Renewal" which paired LCMS districts with Southern District congregations to aid in the recovery effort after Hurricane Katrina. 2006In June "Worship in the Park" services began once a month at the Church Park.In July we hosted The Allegro Bells, a high school handbell choir from Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle, Illinois. In August the Altar Guild was formed. Pastor Lingsch took a call to serve in the National Guard Bureau's "Crisis Action Team" in Washington, D.C. Our Pre-School opened in September with our new co-director and teacher Mrs. Erin Webb. Rev. Tony Cloose, Rev Zielinski, and seminary student Mr. Peter Grana were our Proclaimer's for the month of September. Zielinski and Grana also were our Proclaimers in October. Rev. Robert E. Duncan became our Vacancy Pastor in November and a Call Committee was formed. |
