Since our boiler was 35 years old and operated at approximately 60% efficiency, we decided to use the funds from the Paul Terry and Henry Rohrman estates to accept the the three boilers and purchased an additional boiler as well. The new boilers were installed and adjustments made to the system for $25,000. We hosted the St. Louis Seminary Chorus, which sag at both services in exchange for a meal and door offering. An additional $3,915 was approved to correct heating problems which had existed in the hating system since it was installed in 1956. A gas consumption report indicated that our new boilers resulted in a 15-25% reduction in gas usage over the past year.
