Trinity was the "Church of the Month" on WHIZ radio during February, which meant that our services were broadcast live on Sunday mornings.

Pastor Kudart received a Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri.

Walter Mees, Central Ohio Lutheran Laymen's League founder and its first president for two years, died while vacationing with his wife in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 83. He was buried on February 21st. Mr. Mees was Sunday School superintendent for 62 years, our financial secretary for 43 years, deacon for 30 years, a member of the church council for 46 years, and president of the Central Ohio Mission Federation for 15 years.

The Men's Club disbanded due to lack of participation after 33 years.

The burial of Pastor Walter A. Pohl took place January 1st in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, W. Va. He was survived by his widow, Florence, and their only son, Norman Pohl, of Cincinnati.

The distribution of 900 Gospels of Luke to area homes took place in April for Key '73.

The pastor and congregation dedicated the new marble altar, dossal curtain, candlesticks, marble baptismal font, kneelers, and carpet. Both the exterior wood and steeple and the sanctuary were painted.

In September, Vicar Holstein left for Concordia Seminary to complete his seminary studies and our new vicar, Joe Stark, was inducted.

Newsline Editor, Mrs. Dottie Schultheis, retired after 3.5 years and Nancy Stark took the position.

Nettie Frick Sunday was observed in October. Mrs. J.J. Frick, our oldest member, was 100 years old. As a girl of nine she helped fold, address, wrap, and mail the first issue of the Lutheran Witness.

1974

Trinity pledged $25,000 as a 125th Anniversary Thankoffering to the Synod. To date $7,949.50 had been received.

A discussion took place on current Synodical problems and the growth of the organization ELIM (Evangelical Lutherans In Mission) to place positive pressure on Synodical leaders to settle Synodical troubles in an evangelical rather than legalistic manner.

The Walther League sponsored an Easter Breakfast in the parish hall. The 8 foot Pascal Candle was lighted. The Pascal Candle holder was a memorial to Lt. Colonel Don Ewing by his family.

The Voter's Assembly authorized Trinity's 130th Anniversary Fund with a $20,000 Thankoffering goal.

A special education class of Joey Wise and Maureen McKenna, was Confirmed.

In January, after much discussion, a change was made to the church constitution.

The church council recommended a position of opposition to the present controversy at the Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. At a special meeting it was confirmed that we delay our annual payment of $27,600 to the Ohio District and Synod until the controversy is settled. In July, we sent 20% of our "withheld" synodical funds to the Ohio District and Synod, 20% to the Seminary-in-Exile (neither condoning nor condemning), and 10% to Ohio District's 10th Anniversary Thankoffering.

The April Voters Assembly approved the trial of a "Family Vacation Bible School" during the evening hours. This was due to dropping enrollment in the Vacation Bible School held during the day.

Protective storm windows were installed over our stained-glass windows and the pew kneelers were installed.

Vicar Leonard Wilhelm arrived.

The Voters Assembly approved $500 to fix up a youth room for the Walther League as a meeting room.

After presentation and discussion, a decision was made by secret ballot (57-16) to purchase the vacant lot next to the Imlay Dr. parsonage for $7,250.
