Coin folders were distributed among the members to fill with dimes during Lent. Proceeds were for the building fund instead of having a special Anniversary Sunday offering. (These were the first Lenten Folders.)

Pastor Pohl presented Allan Land, manager of our local radio and television stations, with an award from the Synod. For the past nine years, WHIZ had featured This Is The Life, a television program sponsored by the Lutheran Laymens League.

In August, candidate Frank Machina and Rose Ann Swope were married here at Trinity.

Vicar Don Thuss arrived from Marshfield, Wisconsin. In November, he married Mary McClanahan at Concordia Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ethel Blankenbuehler was excused from being Saturday School teacher for health reasons. She was honored for her 28 years of dedicated service with a recognition ceremony.

Pastor Pohl was recognized for 25 years of dedicated service to our church.

Wheat Ridge Christmas Seals were given to all members as a yearly occurence.

Another activity that became a yearly event was apple butter making by some members of the Ladies Aid. This was done in the fall at our church park.
